The Shropshire Biodiversity Partnership would like your help and input.  If you would like to get involved please look at how the partnership is structured (below) to see how you might be able to get involved.  Then just get in touch. 

At present the partnership is divided into the Wider Partnership, a selection of Working Groups, and the Steering Group.  The details of these groups are described below.

 
The wider partnership is made up of all those who want to keep informed of biodiversity conservation in Shropshire.  The group usually meets once a year.  Around 170 individuals are currently on the mailing list. They include interested individuals and representatives of organisations including government organisations, non-governmental organisations, and industry.

These groups were set up to deal with the finer details of the Shropshire Biodiversity Action Plan. The groups review existing plans, write new plans and help ensure that the plans are actually being carried out.  Those set up so far are:

• Water Vole working group
• BAP sub-group of the Shropshire Bat Group
• Shropshire Butterflies working group
• Plants Working Group
• Planning & Policies Working Group
• Woodlands Working Group

The partnership and the work of the Biodiversity Officer is guided by a steering group comprising of individuals from the main organisations involved in implementing and funding the Shropshire Biodiversity Action Plan.
