New Groups for South Shropshire

A partnership of organisations have received funding from LEADER to set up three new community wildlife groups in South Shropshire. These groups will be based around the  Stretttons Area, Clee hill and Wenlock edge respectively. The Strettons Area and Clee Hill groups have now been launched, whilst a Wenlock edge group will  be formed in autumn 2012.

The aim of these groups is to record and monitor local wildlife. They will receive expert training and be provided with support to undertake field surveys. The information collected will inform conservation action and help to highlight and celebrate local biodiversity.

Anyone is welcome to join, so  If you are interested or would like some more information please contact the group coordinators.
