The Shropshire Lichen Group was an informal group which held field meetings throughout Shropshire to record lichens. The group no longer has access to local expertise and so no longer meets up.
The Shropshire Fungus Group does have members who know some lichens and would welcome new members.
Most species records gathered in the last few years have been added to the Natural Shropshire suite of maps and can be viewed from the link below:

Any new records can be submitted to Ivan Pedley via the Natural Shropshire 'Make a species record' form. To help with identification photos can be sent to the email address below or to the iSPOT web site (www.ispot.org.uk).
